Field Visit to Primary Health Centre

The School of Medical & Allied Sciences organised a field visit to the Primary Health Centre (PHC), Wazirabad, Gurugram, for students under the theme: “Primary Health Centre: Extending Learning Beyond Classrooms and Linking Students with Community Health.” The visit provided students with practical exposure to primary healthcare services, including OPD functioning, immunisation activities, maternal and child health care, diagnostic facilities, and drug dispensing through the pharmacy. Students interacted with the Medical Officer, Pharmacist, Nursing Staff, ANM, and ASHA workers, who explained routine services and the implementation of major National Health Programmes. The experience helped students connect classroom learning with real community health practices, especially in areas like essential drug management, health education, and public health outreach.
