Health Plus “Monitoring Wellness in Our Neighbourhood”
The School of Medical & Allied Sciences organised the Health Plus: “Monitoring Wellness in Our Neighbourhood” initiative in the villages adopted by K.R. Mangalam University. The event aimed to support community health by monitoring individuals living with diabetes and raising awareness about effective approaches to diabetes management.
Through informative sessions and interactive activities, community members gained insights into both non-pharmacological and pharmacological approaches to diabetes management. The sessions emphasised the importance of healthy lifestyle practices, regular monitoring, appropriate medication use, and adherence to prescribed treatment plans.
The initiative provided an opportunity to promote greater awareness of diabetes prevention and management while strengthening the university’s engagement with the surrounding community and contributing to improved health and well-being among residents.
