Inter-University Competition on Classroom Skill Masters

The School of Education (SOED) successfully organised an Inter-University Competition titled “Classroom Skill Masters – Pedagogy Talent Hunt: Digital Video Lesson Creation.” The event witnessed active and enthusiastic participation from students across various universities, who showcased their creativity, pedagogical understanding, and effective use of digital tools in the teaching-learning process. Participants designed engaging digital lessons using a variety of tools such as NotebookLM, Canva, Edpuzzle, PowerPoint, Google Slides, Mentimeter, Kahoot, and Quizizz, along with interactive whiteboard applications. They incorporated multimedia elements, including videos, animations, and visuals — along with built-in assessment strategies such as quizzes and reflective questions to enhance learner engagement and understanding. The competition provided a dynamic platform for students to demonstrate their instructional design skills through digital video lessons, promoting innovation and a learner-centric approach to education. Cash prizes and certificates were awarded to participants in recognition of their efforts and performance.
