International Conference on Envisioning the Future India
The School of Liberal Arts organised a two-day international conference focusing on India’s development goals for 2047. With over 120 research papers received and 80 presented across eight sessions, the conference explored key themes like governance, economic equality, mental health, and cultural growth.
The eminent guests included Justice (Dr.) Mukundakam Sharma and Dr. Subhash Kumar. The conference also featured international speaker Prof. (Dr.) Gülsün Kurubacak Çakır of Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, Turkey, and Prof. Sushil Chandra of Rishihood University. The speakers addressed themes including AI, digital learning, the role of the judiciary, education, and sustainability in advancing national development. The second day began with a keynote address by Dr. Nitya Nanda, Director, Council for Social Development (CSD), followed by a panel discussion. Participants included Prof. Mehraj Uddin Mir (Professor Chair, Motilal Nehru Chair, K.R. Mangalam University), Prof. (Dr) Meenakshi Mittal, Professor, University of Delhi, Dr. Nitya Nanda, and Mr. Iqbal Ahmad, journalist, BBC Indian Language Service/CNR. The discussion underscored the need for inclusive and equitable development while addressing socio-economic disparities. The event concluded with global insights and a call for inclusive, interdisciplinary collaboration for a developed India.
