Visit to Ayushman Hospital
The NSS organised an insightful visit to the AYUSH Wing, a centre under the AYUSH Department, for NSS volunteers. The students were warmly welcomed by Mr. Bhudev, a Yoga expert; Dr. Anupriya, an Ayurveda expert; and Dr. Geetanjli, a Panchakarma specialist. During the visit, the volunteers gained an understanding of the principles and practices of Panchakarma, an ancient Ayurvedic therapeutic approach traditionally associated with cleansing and restoring balance in the body and mind. They were introduced to various Panchakarma procedures and learned about their traditional applications and significance.
The volunteers also participated in an interactive yoga session led by Mr. Bhudev, where they practised various asanas and breathing techniques aimed at promoting physical and mental well-being. The hands-on experience enhanced their understanding of the holistic health practices associated with the AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy) system. Through meaningful interactions with the experts, the volunteers gained valuable insights into the Ayurvedic approach to healthcare, including the importance of preventive care, natural approaches, and healthy lifestyle practices for overall well-being.
